Louie Janse van Rensburg, who was a Senior Manager in RBF overseeing all technical requirements for radio broadcast facilities including main control, drama and music studios in the Radio Park building in Auckland park, retired at the end of March 2012 after 40 years at the SABC. In the last 10 years Louie has been instrumental in transforming the SABC’s radio broadcast technology from analogue to digital equipment.
During a farewell function the GM: RBF (acting) handed over a certificate of appreciation as well as a collage of memorable pictures of the years Louie spent at RBF.
As Louie’s colleagues, we at RBF and the SABC as a whole, wish him all the best during his retirement. “Go well Louie and thank you for all the years of knowledge and expertise you shared with us – in Johannesburg and with your colleagues in the regions.”
